myWobile @ Microsoft Mix It Up Event!

The whole myWobile team had the opportunity to present at the August Microsoft Mix It Up event last Thursday, together with Chris Chin and other independent software vendors (ISVs).

The event allowed us to share what myWobile is all about, bundled together with a Windows Mobile demonstration to the audiences. We had the opportunity to talk to some companies who were interested in our solutions such as the myWobile API and the myWobile Platform technology.

Our Lead Engineer, Raj actually dragged the whole myWobile poster from the office to the event! (If only you can imagine how big that poster was!)

Sneak Preview of myWobile Windows Mobile!

Our development team has been working around the clock to prepare the Windows Mobile version of myWobile. We have also successfully rolled out myWobile on both Nokia and Sony Ericsson platforms recently.

The Windows Mobile version will be added on to our range of solutions that we offer to both consumers and advertisers. We will in fact, be doing an actual live demo of myWobile WM at Microsoft Mix It Up event tonight.

Before we present the live demo at the event, we have included some sneak preview screenshots of myWobile WM working on Samsung Omnia to keep you updated!

myWobile Bloggers Night #1

The first session of myWobile Bloggers Night was indeed a good one. (No pictures were taken because we were really short-handed!)

Although there were only 5 guests present at the session, we did have a very good face-to-face discussion about myWobile and the technologies used. The event was expected to end around

Alot of pointers were raised during the discussion such as:

• What was myWobile's business model?
• How does myWobile compete with the bigger "boys" out there?
• What is myWobile's target market?
• What mobile platforms do myWobile cater to?
  
• What can myWobile provide consumers/advertisers at this point of time?
• What is myWobile's future direction?

There were some embarassing moments when we answered wrongly or could not even answer the question properly. We are nevertheless determined to answer these questions in the coming of weeks as we are coming together to revamp myWobile to be more intuitive and user friendly.

The feedbacks from the bloggers who shared their wonderful ideas and critique, have not only given us the passion but also the drive to improve!

We are going to share more about in the coming of weeks!

p/s: We were worried that the pizzas would be abandoned because it was close to 10pm and it was getting late until the rain saved us! We hope everyone had filled their stomachs before they left the place.

Month of August

Firstly we greatly apologised for the mishap for IE users through the feedback we received for those of you non-IE users the issue was that some of the images and navigation was misaligned. We were able to resolve it very quickly in a day and it was up again!

August has been an exciting moment for us. MyWobile gets published and our spanking new website gets relaunched. With the passing of our soft launch we further strive to provide you guys the best in location services. Our analysis has seen a strong improvement in user visitor growth up to date. Our developers are quickly pacing up towards our milestones and looking very promising. Our schedules are really getting packed up with meetings and developments alongside. Yes we do understand you very much looking forward our application.

Some of the typical questions that are asked to our developers are how did we do it? This questions will be further answered on a special date. If you are interested quickly drop us a mail and you could be the lucky one who will receive our special invite to an exclusive event. We cant say much for now!

MyWobile on Straits Times National Day Special!

In line with our new website launch, MyWobile was featured on Straits Times National Day Specials! Yes, Straits Times on Aug 9 came with a special supplement featuring articles specially for National Day, turn to the last few pages of the supplement and you will see a hand drawn picture together with a title "Our Tech Geek Rock". Read on and you can find out MyWobile is proud to be a Singapore Made Product!

Website Makeover!

If you have visited MyWobile's website before 9th August 2009, you will be greeted with something like the screenshot below.

The old website had served us well over many events such as Barcamp Singapore, The Startup Story, AdTech, Communicasia 2009. It was definitely great fun showing and demostrating to people our mobile application with the help of the website.

Today, we are proud to roll out our spanking new web 2.0 style website where we have incorporated several interesting concepts and ideas. Bear in mind that this is just a scaled down version of what we intend to do originally due to time constraints - many more features rolling out soon!
